Tech Class Projects

We have been working hard on different projects in the grade level Technology Classes. Students in 5th grade are working on a body system project. Students will be producing a moving letting us know why their body system is the most important. Look for those movies on your student's blog soon.
All of the 4th grade students are working on an All About Me project using the program Photo Peach. They are writing sentences to describe themselves and then finding pictures that represent their sentences. They are then creating a short movie which can be shared with their classmates. This is a fun and easy program to use. Check it out at home using family photos!
The 3rd grade classes are creating a Google Presentation about homophones. Students were asked to look up four sets of homophones in an online dictionary. Then students wrote sentences using their words correctly. Check back here soon to see some examples.

New Year: 2013-2014

We are off to another great year! Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade are working on keyboarding skills using a program called Typing Web. This is a web based program, so students can access the program at home or anywhere there is an internet connection. There is a login, which is your student's username and password they use at school to get to the network, Moodle and their Google Drive. Make sure to remind them to use the proper technique--bad habits are hard to break.
